Organisations to support this Christmas

Act for Peace Christmas Bowl Appeal

For decades, through the Christmas Bowl, Australian churches across denominations have been instrumental in responding to some of the most urgent crises of our time.

Last year, 1,200 churches celebrated the Christmas Bowl by bringing much needed shelter and medical care to communities affected by conflict and disaster around the globe.

This year, for our brothers and sisters in urgent need around the world, those already struggling as a result of conflict and disaster, the effects of the coronavirus pandemic are catastrophic.

Through this year’s Christmas Bowl Act for Peace are actively responding to this crisis; coming together to stand alongside these vulnerable communities through this pandemic – and towards a more secure future – by providing vital food, medical care and support.

Your gift will support local partners around the world to both meet urgent need and create change that lasts. You can stand alongside local communities through this pandemic – and towards a more secure future – by providing vital food, medical care and support.

Target Christmas Appeal

Christmas can be a difficult time for many people in our community.

This year especially, we think of those who are doing in tough for the first time and are bracing themselves for a very different Christmas.

For people facing financial stress, many will struggle to access daily necessities, such as food, essential items, and even a safe place to live.

But you can make a difference.

The Target Christmas Appeal has proudly partnered with UnitingCare Australia for the past 29 years to give customers the chance to support a better Christmas for those in need.

Giving to the Appeal will help make Christmas a better day for thousands of people and families who might otherwise go without.

UnitingCare Australia’s network is one of the largest networks of community service providers in Australia with many well-known services such as Lifeline, Wesley Mission and Uniting. They support 1.4 million people every year across urban, rural and remote communities and have over 50,000 staff and 30,000 volunteers assisting our most vulnerable.

100% of all contributions go directly to UnitingCare Australia and their national network of community service providers, who have been at the front line of service provision for over 100 years.

All donations to the Christmas Appeal are allocated to the State or Territory in which they are made.
