Exploring Abstract Expressionism Art (Term 3 only)

This class will begin with some theory and short demonstrations on abstract techniques, then students will explore these techniques for the remaining time. A skills packed class with pieces being produced in-house and a real give it a go attitude will ensure you have up-skilled and gained a robust outlook to your future art endeavours.

By the end of term you will have produced:

·         An A3 sketchbook full of ideas and techniques

·         A finished canvas

·         Notes on abstract art and painters

·         A personalised collection of equipment useful for your abstract pursuits

·         A framed A3 piece for the art exhibition

Along with having explored strategies for approaching and techniques for executing abstract art.

This class is best suited to students with some prior experience of abstract art and is not suitable for beginners. Materials list available
