Painting for Pleasure (Janice)

Come as you are on a creative painting journey with us, either painting in acrylics or watercolours. Our group has a relaxed vibe. Everyone is welcome, whether a beginner or experienced artist.

If a beginner, it’s probably easiest to work in acrylics, as you can paint in layers. Watercolours you will have less control, so expect some lovely surprises. 

Our class often begins with a fun creative exercise or skill building session.  We may study a famous artist and learn about their lives and how to apply their techniques to our own painting style. 

Or bring along your own project and paint it over a few weeks. We will paint from life or our own photographs, thereby creating our own unique masterpieces! Weather permitting, we may venture out in the local area outdoors or in surrounding shady spaces to sketch and paint.
