Ross Memorial Church Music
There are many different faces to the wonderful music at Ross Memorial. The music ranges from the traditional hymns played on the famous JE Dodd organ by our organist, Tomasz Nowak at Sunday services, to the inspirational musical talents of 11 year old Camilla and the guitars and drums of the Karen Community, and from there to the wonderfully varied series of concerts held regularly throughout the year, usually including special events at Christmas and Easter.
Organist / Pianist - Tomasz Nowak
Our traditional music is led by orgaist, Tomasz Nowak. Tomasz has been with the Ross Memorial worshipping community for approximately 5 years, after coming to Perth from Poland with his wife, Iwona, a brilliant pianist and their two children. Both Tomasz and Iwona studied music at the Krakow Conservatorium, Tomasz graduating in 1980. Tomasz then taught organ playing at the Academy of Music in Krakow until 2007 and has also given many organ recitals across Europe, including Germany, France, the Netherlands, Russia and Spain, at the same time also working as an active organ builder. He is currently working with Pipe Organs WA as a factory supervisor. Iwona has participated in many piano and organ master courses and given many public performances across Europe and South Africa. Iwona works as an organist at Wesley College.
